This is our own original blend. Made by us... for you! I make it with the assistance of my "Papa Provençal", former vigneron of Domaine de Cassan, and a local winemaker consultant who works with 25 local estates in the Ventoux and Beaumes de Venise and who knows just where to source the best wines to blend to my style. Fruit, freshness and finesse are the pre-requisites; I look for the opposite of people's image of heavy, dense, sweet wines from the Rhône. The white is always light but aromatic with stone and citrus fruits and herbs. It comes from old vines in the Ventoux, farmed basically organically and made and aged traditionally in concrete tank.

From Nadia and Christian Charmasson’s biodynamic estate in Tavel, the white shows another face of the Charmasson natural approach to wine making. This is a blend based on Grenache Blanc and really shows the oily, herbal, stone fruit character of the terroir. Wine making is by hand and very simple, some skin contact, no additives whatsoever, no sulfites. The wine MUST have some aeration, being a living wine with energy that’s been kept in bottle for nearly two years!

One of our favourite winemakers of Gigondas and Côtes du Rhône, Philippe Cartoux, makes just 2,000 litres of a delicious white by using two complementary grapes: the Clairette gives freshness and finesse and the Roussanne gives fruit and fat. The wine is fermented and aged in old barriques with the malo allowed to add complexity and depth as well as softness. As with Espiers reds, this white offers aromatic richness with a refreshing drinkability at the same time.

Agnes Henry has long made richly flavoured, energetic, savoury, organic Bandol, some of the best, most characterful in the Appellation, and in all 3 colours. 20 years ago she employed and gave a start to one Thierry Puzelat, no less! [more] This Blanc, like the Rosé, always tastes better in its second year in bottle, having gained complexity and "settled down". It's a Goddess wine, richly fruit and savoury and uplifting and refreshing. Despite its richness, it boasts just 12.6% alcohol and is a terrific mariage with salads, all kinds of fishes and picnics.

“The finest white in Provence” says Revue de Vins de France and the wine has many Michelin star listings in France, too. There is something magical about this white Bandol, as with all Terrebrune wines. There's complexity but it's not complicated. There's richness and depth but also a lightness of touch. It comes from a unique terroir in Bandol based on a limestone subsoil with "terre brune" topsoil, which has always been farmed organically since planting in 1962. The wine sees no oak. The 2014 comes in at just 12.72% alcohol, too!
